Kyrgyzstan e-Visa requirements, eligibility and documents
Review eligibility, passport rules, required documents, tourist options, processing and entry conditions before applying.
What is the Kyrgyzstan e-Visa?
The Kyrgyzstan e-Visa is an electronic travel authorisation issued for an approved purpose and period. The applicant uses the passport or travel document stated in the application and presents the issued document when travelling.
Who can apply?
Eligibility depends on citizenship, passport or travel-document type, visa category and purpose of travel. Each traveller must meet the conditions for the selected category and complete a separate application.
Tourist e-Visa category
This application route covers the Tourist visa category (TS). It is intended for temporary tourism and does not authorise employment or another activity outside the approved purpose.
Available tourist options
The application offers single-entry and double or multiple-entry options with periods of 30, 60 or 90 days. Select the option that matches the intended trip; the authorised validity and entries are determined by the issued visa.
Validity and permitted stay
Visa validity and permitted stay are not interchangeable. The issued visa shows the period in which it may be used and the authorised conditions. Travellers must enter, stay and leave within those conditions.
Passport requirements
The passport or accepted travel document should remain valid for at least six months beyond the requested visa validity, contain at least two blank pages and be undamaged, without unofficial marks or remarks.
Required documents
Prepare a recent digital applicant photograph, a clear scan of the passport or travel-document page and a written tourist application or statement. Additional supporting documents can be provided where relevant.
Photograph and passport image
The photograph should clearly identify the applicant. The passport image should show the complete biographical page and all personal and document details must be readable.
Written tourist statement
A written application or statement is required for the Tourist (TS) route. It should identify the applicant and explain the planned tourist visit, dates and place of stay.
Information required
Applicants provide citizenship, passport type, selected tourist option, names, birth details, passport dates, email, phone, residential address, purpose, planned entry and exit, and accommodation in Kyrgyzstan.
Travel and visa history
The form asks whether the applicant visited Kyrgyzstan during the previous five years and whether a Kyrgyz Republic visa application was rejected. Related dates are requested only when the answer is Yes.
Inviter information
Some circumstances may require inviter information. When relevant, provide details for the inviting person or organisation. When no inviter is required, those fields remain hidden and are not requested.
Language and translations
Complete the electronic form in English. Supporting documents issued in another language may need a Kyrgyz or Russian version or translation when requested for the application.
Processing time
Allow up to five working days for standard processing. An application returned for correction may be reviewed within five working days after the corrected information or documents are supplied.
Email and application updates
Use one accessible email address and check it regularly. Application notices, requests for corrections and outcome information are sent electronically; respond within any deadline stated in the notice.
Entry points
The electronic visa may be used at authorised checkpoints including Manas International Airport, Osh International Airport and Ak-Dzol road checkpoint, subject to the conditions shown on the issued visa.
Transit
Travellers who remain in an international transit area may be subject to different rules. A transit or other category should be used when the purpose is not tourism; this form is limited to Tourist (TS).
Children
Every child requires a separate application, including a child travelling with a parent. Enter the child’s own passport or travel-document information and provide the documents applicable to that traveller.
Registration after arrival
Foreign citizens may need registration at their place of stay within five working days after arrival unless an exemption applies. Accommodation providers may assist, but the traveller remains responsible for following current migration rules.
Corrections and new applications
Check all details against the passport before payment. A material change after submission or payment may require a new application rather than an amendment to the existing one.
Important travel information
Before departure, verify that names, passport number, dates, entries and validity on the issued visa are correct. Carry the passport used for the application and a copy of the issued e-Visa.
